Château Lynch-Moussas, a family story going back 100 years.

Ranked as a Pauillac Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification, Château Lynch-Moussas was acquired by Jean Castéja in 1919 and has been one of the jewels of the family properties for a century. Passed down to his son Émile, and then by him to his daughter Chantal and his son Philippe, the estate has benefited from the attentions of each generation of the Castéja family, who have cared for, developed, modernised and enhanced this Grand Cru d’Excellence.

Two wines
of distinct
character.

In order to exploit the full richness of the estate’s terroir, Émile and Philippe Castéja created in 2001 a Second Wine to go alongside their “Grand Vin” Château Lynch-Moussas, a Pauillac Grand Cru Classé classified in 1855. This Second Wine, produced under the Haut-Médoc appellation, is called “Les Hauts de Lynch-Moussas” and is made from the estate’s youngest vines, planted on the small hill overlooking the Château.
